Chapter 1

Justin knew these photos were going to turn out great. Lucy Sommers was pushing her large bust together and really putting on a show. The normally shy one of the group, was proudly displaying her voluptuous body for all to see. Justin figured it wouldn’t be easy given that Lucy took time to warm up at most parties, but today she had been nothing but professional. Her long brown hair, swayed and fell all over her as she moved. If Justin was shooting a normal model, he’d use her hair as a prop, but today some of it wouldn’t work for the types of photos he was taking.

“Lucy, can we tie your hair up? Just trying to get your lines and curves,” Justin said happily.

“Absolutely, sure,” Lucy said with enthusiasm. She quickly walked down to the table where she left her robe and pulled out a hair tie, fidgeting behind her head to tie it all up. Her large breasts wobbled and bounced as did her body while she moved. It was an intoxicating sight and reminded Justin of a belly dancer working her moves.

“Lovely,” Justin said seeing Lucy with her hair tied up on top of her head.

“Thank you,” Lucy said with a cheeky smirk. “So, what next?”

“Next, I’ll get you to turn around, push your hip out, get some shots of you from behind and then we’re good to go I think,” Justin replied moving closer to the set where Lucy was standing.

“Like this?” Lucy asked throwing her hip out and accentuating the curve of her hip and thigh. Her buttocks were big and round, which emphasized the lines and curves of her legs. The thick woman looked insanely hot in the pose; her large breast apparent under her arm. They were so big you could see them from behind any time she stood normally.

“Exactly, you’re so beautiful. I hope Scott appreciates you?” Justin replied with a laugh, which made Lucy giggle.

“Oh, he does! And if he doesn’t, I make sure he does!” Lucy said moving around a little awkwardly as Justin snapped the photos.

“I’ll tell him that if he doesn’t worship you like the goddess you are, that he’ll have to answer to me,” Justin said causing them both to laugh. It was a joke that Hank would often use on Scott and Lucy at parties, always causing them to laugh happily.

“Coming from you, that might actually mean something,” Lucy said turning and pushing her breast out while holding her hip. That was the money shot, and Justin snapped repeatedly, until he was satisfied, he got the right angle.

“Done,” Justin said proudly. “You were magnificent!”

“That’s it?” Lucy asked surprised. She had no idea it would be that easy or fun and was happy that her fears of posing naked were unfounded.

“Yeah, it’s been a couple of hours. Why, were you expecting something else?” Justin replied as Lucy walked towards him.

“Really? A couple of hours? You’re kidding! Here I was thinking it was a daunting task, but I’ve had nothing but fun today,” Lucy said smiling widely. To anybody in the room it was obvious it was exciting for Lucy, her body displaying all the hallmarks of arousal. “That was great, thank you!”

“You’re welcome. Working with a beautiful model is always a great experience for me. So, thank you,” Justin said which caused Lucy to walk right up to him, put her arms around him and kiss him on the lips. He tried to ignore everything and simply go with the fact she was appreciative.

“If you ever want me to pose nude again, I’d do it in a heartbeat. I’ll get Scott here too, no problem,” Lucy said moving to the table and picking up her robe. She smiled at him before heading for the change rooms.

It had been such a good shoot that Justin felt like celebrating. He wasn’t sure why but that’s what he felt like. Lucy had been a trooper, her nerves washing away quickly once Justin had started taking photos and complimenting her. She seemed to blossom like a flower. Miriam had been a great help as well and he was sure he wanted to let her know just how much.

Justin was happy. He felt like things were finally starting to look up. Margy had been wonderful and even though there was a slight tinge of sadness that she had left, Justin felt the door had been closed on that part of his life. He was feeling ready to move on now, take the next step in his life.

“Can I get some of whatever it is your taking?” Miriam asked brightly. Her presence only adding to how Justin felt.

Justin looked at her and laughed, feeling invincible and lucky to have her with him on this journey.

“What do you mean?” Justin asked putting the camera down.

“You’ve been so upbeat all day. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great, just… I haven’t seen you like this for a while, that’s all,” Miriam replied with a half shrug of her shoulders.

Justin clamped his hands on both sides of her, smiling Büyükesat Escort widely.

“Things are finally starting to look up. That’s all!” Justin said proudly. “Have I told you how wonderful you are? That you really make this place what it is? Because you do!”

Miriam scanned his eyes to see if he was lying, but she didn’t find anything. He was being genuine. His energy was infectious, and she loved the compliment, blushing slightly. She never blushed.

“Thank you,” Miriam said warmly, feeling like she wanted to hug him or kiss him. It warmed her throughout to be thought of in that way. “That’s the sweetest thing that’s been said to me.”

“Well you are incredible. Don’t ever forget that,” Justin said before Miriam moved her hands up but paused when they were at his chest.

“I know I shouldn’t do this, but do you mind?” Miriam asked politely feeling like she had to just do it. Justin wasn’t sure what she meant and shook his head, he was just so happy.

Miriam wrapped her arms around his neck, hugged him and then kissed him on the cheek. It was an affectionate gesture that Justin wasn’t expecting but reciprocated anyway. It was nice to be thought of fondly that way.

“Thank you,” Justin said, as they looked into each other’s eyes momentarily.

“Since you’ve been so nice today, how about I tidy up. You go home, and I’ll finish the rest,” Miriam said warmly. At this point, she’d do anything for him, he was just simply too lovely today. She hoped it was the start of something new, something she’d like to be involved in.

“You don’t have to do that,” Justin said but she politely cut him off.

“I insist, then we can smash through more tomorrow,” Miriam said happily. For the first time in ages, she felt like everything was going to be alright. This change in Justin was exactly what she had hoped for since his wife passed away. There was that familiar feeling building up inside her. “Giddy up, big boy.”

Their smiles were infectious.

“Okay, thanks,” Justin said with a nod as they released each other, and Justin headed for the office. As he walked, he heard his phone ringing and rushed to get it. Seeing Sophie’s number, he happily answered the phone, excited to talk to her.

“Soph, hey,” Justin said happily but his mood suddenly changed when she spoke. It was obvious there was something wrong by her tone.

“I’ve got some bad news,” Sophie said quietly. He hadn’t heard her speak this way in a long time and knew whatever it was, it was incredibly bad.

“What? What’s happened?” Justin asked his anxiety rising quickly.

“It’s David,” Sophie replied with a sniffle. “He’s been killed in a car accident.”

Justin felt like his world was starting to spin. One of the Dirty Dozen had been killed in a car accident. He wasn’t even forty and yet already gone. It was only last week that Justin had been photographing David and he was full of life. This wasn’t right.

“Soph, I… I’ll be right there,” Justin said getting up from his chair.

“Thank you, Justin, see you soon,” Sophie said as they hung up the phones. Justin was beside himself. He felt numb and was on autopilot heading out the door of his studio. It was all too familiar. He knew the feelings of death, it wasn’t that long ago that he was in Julia’s position, having to come to terms with your partner dying.

Chapter 2

It was eerie walking into David and Julia’s house now that he was gone. It felt like a piece of furniture was missing and Justin knew that feeling all too well. Not that long ago it had been him who was sitting in his house, empty. It’s one of those things that starts to fade and go away over time but right now it is raw and in your face. He started to realise the good times he and his wife had, all the fun, the quirks, the laughter and the idiosyncrasies that Bethany had, which warmed his heart. Those were the things that drowned out the pain and sorrow, even if it was only for moments at a time. Justin knew that Julia would be in the same position and he would be there for her, just like she was for him, to help her through this difficult time.

“Hey,” Justin said when he saw Julia standing at the dining room window which had a view of the backyard and mountains in the distance. There were no houses built behind, with a nature reserve and then road in the distance, making up the rest of the view. It was an enormous backyard with a pool in one corner close to the house, an entertainment area adjoining it and then lots of grass, trees and shrubbery that led out to the back of the block. If there were any children around it would make the perfect setting for a hide and seek game, with so many places to hide. Sophie was standing beside Julia and Justin could see her eyes were puffy from crying. He reached over and grabbed her hand, giving her a soft squeeze to tell her everything was going to be okay.

“Hi,” Julia said softly, after staring out the window for a time. She offered a weak smile and then wrapped her Elvankent Escort arms around Justin’s neck and held onto him as they hugged.

“I’m here for anything you need okay?” Justin said slowly stroking Julia’s back. She simply nodded over his shoulder and put one hand up the back of his head, holding him close to her. He looked at Sophie who gave him an odd look before a sad frown and then looking at the floor. After a few moments, Julia pulled back and kissed Justin on the cheek before giving him a weak smile and walking a few steps away.

“I might go and have a lay down,” Julia said before Sophie grabbed her hand as a way to comfort her.

“Okay, I’ll be there in a sec, to keep you company,” Sophie said the tears welling up again as she tried to fight them away for Julia’s sake.

“Okay,” Julia said softly, before leaving the room and heading off to the bedroom.

“Hey,” Justin said as Sophie quickly moved into his arms and hugged him before bursting into tears. She sobbed in his arms for a moment, letting out everything she had been bottling up since the news of the David’s death broke. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Sophie finally calmed down and moved back, leaving a wet patch on Justin’s shirt where she had been crying.

“Sorry,” Sophie said trying in vain to wipe the tears off his shirt.

“Don’t sweat it,” Justin said putting his hand on her shoulder.

“Ah god, I’m a mess!” Sophie said letting out a nervous laugh. “I’m crying more than Jules!”

“She does seem to be taking this pretty well,” Justin said putting his arm around Sophie’s shoulder and pulling her to him as they looked out at the backyard.

“Yeah, she’s a real trooper. I’m not sure if it has hit her yet,” Sophie said wiping away the tears. She didn’t like breaking down like this but knew Justin wouldn’t mind.

“We should keep her company for the next couple of days,” Justin said knowing full well the emotions Julia would go through as she grieved her loss.

“Good idea, I’ll talk to Hank,” Sophie said with a nod. “Hang on, where is Hank?”

“I’ll tell you what. You look after Jules. I’ll find Hank. He’s probably out back,” Justin said warmly. Sophie nodded and composed herself so that she wouldn’t upset Julia any further with her own emotions.

“Thank you,” Sophie said before disappearing towards the bedrooms. Justin took a deep breath and looked outside to see if he could find Hank amongst the trees and plants of the large backyard. He headed out the back and began to long walk to find Hank.

The further Justin walked from the house, the more he knew he would find Hank. There had always been a spot amongst the trees at the back of the yard where the guys would congregate whenever there was a party at David and Julia’s. It was the most logical place for Hank to be, given the decorative rocks that were strewn about the garden bed where people could sit. Justin walked into the trees and found Hank sitting on a rock looking distraught.

“Hey buddy,” Justin said sitting down beside him on another rock. They were close together and behind the trunk of a small tree, giving them ample coverage from anyone or anything.

“Hi,” Hank said softly without looking at Justin. His eyes were red and teary.

“Lovely day isn’t it?” Justin said looking up at the sky through the trees. “Blue sky…”

“Huh,” Hank said letting out a small chuckle and shaking his head. “Here I am thinking about David and you’re sitting there thinking about the weather.”

“Well, just wanted to let you know that even on the darkest of days, the sun is still shining,” Justin said nudging his friend with his shoulder. Hank shook his head and smiled at him even though he was still upset.

“That sounds familiar,” Hank said looking down at the dirt.

“Yeah, it should. It’s yours, I just tweaked it a little,” Justin said causing Hank to nudge him back.

“I said that to you when Bethany passed away,” Hank said looking at Justin through his watery eyes.

“It’s a good way to start a conversation I think,” Justin said warmly. “Then you can ask if the person is okay. Are you okay?”

“No,” Hank replied looking down at the dirt again. “Not really. No.”

“We were all friends. You two were the mischievous ones,” Justin said suddenly recalling a story. “Do you remember when David had the home-made sling shot and hit the neighbour’s cat?”

“At that party which caused the cat to go feral and jump on Lucy causing her to freak out,” Hank said with a laugh. It was a hearty laugh mixed with a strain that Justin knew all too well.

“She threw her drink which then splashed across the front of Julia and her shirt became see through!” Justin said as both of them laughed. “He had no idea that would happen, but he claimed it was his plan all along.”

“I know right, cheeky bastard,” Hank said wiping away some tears. “He’s great. I mean, was… great.”

“Yeah, I know,” Justin said as the silence once again descended upon Beşevler Escort them. The noise of the neighbourhood could be heard in the distance before Justin spoke once again. “It might not seem like it, but everything is going to work out.”

“I don’t see how,” Hank said sniffing and sighing.

“Time is the only cure for this one I’m afraid. Hell, I was only talking with you what, over a month or so ago about this in your living room. It’s taken me all this time to get to this point, now,” Justin said politely, realising he was indeed feeling better and had seemingly worked passed the worst of his wife’s death. “It’ll be okay.”

“Will it? Could you tell me that after Bethany died?” Hank asked as his anger rose up.

“Well no, but she was the love of my life. I’m not trying to compare the two, but,” Justin replied but Hank exploded next to him.

“I was in love with him!” Hank said fighting back all the emotions. “It was just so different.”

The revelation took Justin back a moment, seeing Hank sitting there completely different to what he was used to. Here was a vulnerable man who seemed to have his world crumbling down around him and then it hit Justin.

“You mean,” Justin said but Hank cut him off. It all started to make sense, how friendly they were, the photo shoot. Miriam had been right.

“Yeah, I’m gay. David and I were having an affair,” Hank said covering his face with his hands.

Justin wasn’t sure what to say and instead asked the first thing that came to mind.

“Does Soph know?” Justin asked putting a comforting hand on Hank’s shoulder.

“I think she suspects something. Look… I didn’t plan this,” Hank replied his lips and face trembling. “It’s just how it happened. Soph and I never told you, because of… you know, with Bethany… but we’d both been unhappy for a while. Opening up our marriage allowed us to get our happiness back. I know I love Soph, but it’s not the same…”

“Okay. That’s fair enough. So maybe your bisexual then. There’s nothing wrong with that either,” Justin said comforting his best friend. He started to understand more of Hank’s conflict and general unhappiness.

“You think so?” Hank asked looking at Justin for answers. He seemed desperate.

“You can’t control who you love. I’m sure Soph will understand. She’s pretty great you know,” Justin said with a warm smile, trying to get Hank to see the positive.

“I know she is. She deserves better than me,” Hank said with a large sigh. “I don’t really want to divorce her or anything. I just… wanted to explore this other side of me.”

“There’s nothing wrong with that,” Justin said wanting to support Hank as best as he could. “I’m proud of you.”

“Why would you be proud of me?” Hank asked fighting back tears.

“Because you are being honest with yourself. Only good can come from that,” Justin said hugging his best friend by putting his arm around his shoulder.

“Can you do me a favour?” Hank asked looking at Justin, who simply nodded and shrugged. “Can you look after Soph for me. I need some time to gather my thoughts. Go to work, do the normal stuff, make out nothing is weird… you know.”

“Sure. But why don’t you talk to her, tell her how you feel,” Justin said but Hank shook his head violently. Justin had never seen Hank so sure before and his reaction spoke volumes.

“I’m not ready. She’s not ready. On top of that, I don’t want my work to know. I don’t need the extra stress right now, explaining it to everyone. I’m not sure I want Soph to know right now either. Just take care of her for me, please, I can’t ask anyone else,” Hank said gripping Justin’s arm. “She’s always loved you more.”

“Hank, come on, don’t do this to yourself,” Justin said hoping his friend wouldn’t beat himself up too much.

“No. It’s true. And it’s okay, really. She loves me, yes, but not like you. And besides, yeah, I do love her, and I want to know she is in good hands. Please Justin, do it for me,” Hank said almost pleading in his voice. It was so out of character for Hank, that Justin did what he believed was the right thing. He would honour what his best friend had asked of him.

“Okay, no problems, I can do that,” Justin said with a nod. “If you need to talk, I’m here okay?”

“Thanks,” Hank said nodding at Justin. “Do you mind if we just sit here a while longer?”

“Not at all,” Justin said as they both went quiet and looked out at the sky. It wasn’t that long ago that Hank and Sophie both sat with Justin and took care of him after Bethany passed away. Justin didn’t think anything of it, they were friends, best friends and he would do whatever he could to help them. Right now, he knew Hank needed help and that is what he was going to do.

Chapter 3

The funeral service at the local cemetery had been beautiful. They were standing in amongst the hundreds of headstones adorning the graves of countless generations. David’s family had purchased a plot many years ago that allowed them to all be buried together, with space still around them for another dozen or so family members. It was unusual but given his great grandparents had established the family here in the city all those years ago, were very family oriented and quite wealthy it made sense. This was the largest cemetery in the city and had thousands of graves, with space for thousands more, and they had a large plot in the centre.
